One Fix · Freeze Protection

RV Water Lines Freezing? Here's What I Run.

My fresh tank holds 40 gallons, and the line runs through a strainer, into the pump, then out to the kitchen faucet and shower.

I wrapped that run in 18 feet of self-regulating heat tape, then added a second length of the same tape on the lines.

My holding tanks got thermostat pads under them too.

That's the fix: heat tape on the lines, heater pads on the tanks — both actually installed on this rig, not just recommended.
